Electrical Safety
All our equipment is PAT tested regularly to comply with the regulations governing use of electrical appliances in public and in workplaces. This ensures that it is insulated properly, all earth connections are sound and that the equipment is not damaged such that safety would be compromised.
We use Residual Current Breakers to protect further in case there is a breakdown and these will trip the current if an individual was to touch an exposed live part.
Physical Safety
We make sure that all our equipment is fit for purpose by buying professional products made for the job and by visual inspection at time of use. All lighting equipment is double secured with safety chains. Any trailing cables in public areas are taped down wherever possible to avoid a trip hazard.
Fire Safety.
We carry a class 3 fire extinguisher with us at all times.
Hearing Safety
We recognise that prolonged exposure to high volume music is considered a risk to people’s hearing. However we also understand that the high volume available from our disco is part of the experience expected. For that reason we make the assumption that adults are capable of making up their own mind about their hearing protection and will take steps accordingly.
Young children and babies may not have that ability and may find even moderate amplification uncomfortable. For that reason, we carry pairs of children’s ear defenders which people are free to borrow for the duration of the event. Whilst these are professional devices specifically designed for that purpose, we cannot accept any liability for their use, non-use, or misuse.

What we expect from you.
Working Area
We need a safe area to work in.
For outdoor events we need shelter for our equipment in case of rain, but we can provide our own gazebos for this purpose at additional cost.
Electricity
We need a safe electricity supply either from a standard mains socket or from a generator (we can provide our own generator at additional cost).
We will refuse to use supplies or equipment that are obviously unsafe in our opinion.
Behaviour
We take reasonable precautions to make our equipment as safe as possible. But any equipment is potentially dangerous if mistreated. We expect that adults and children behave responsibly around our equipment and do not climb, shake or disturb it unnecessarily.
We expect common sense to apply and for people not to touch the hot surfaces of bulbs and other equipment.
We will not tolerate abusive behaviour and reserve the right to stop playing and leave if the situation becomes dangerous from other people’s behaviour in our opinion.
We hold parents or carers responsible for the behaviour and overall safety of children, notwithstanding the reasonable precautions we have taken as detailed above.
